If you are an international or a non-degree student looking to apply for admission, we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.

Priority Deadlines for Admission

Though we accept applications on a rolling basis, we encourage you to apply by the priority deadlines. Students who apply by the deadlines will receive priority admittance and have a greater chance of getting into the classes they want. The earlier you apply, the better!

For students who submit their applications after the deadlines, we will still evaluate your applications but won’t be able to guarantee your semester of choice.

UAH allows you to apply to only one graduate program at a time. Some programs may have different deadlines, so please check to see if your program falls under that category.

Complete your application through your Charger account and pay the nonrefundable $60 application fee. Please note: You can apply to only one graduate program at a time.

• Is there an application fee?

  Yes. There is a nonrefundable application fee of $60.

• I’ve taken some graduate courses already. Can I apply these credits to my program?

  Though eligibility to transfer credits varies by program, you can apply a maximum of 12 credit hours. For more details, contact your program coordinator.

• Do I need to submit letters of recommendation or an essay?

  Your graduate program may ask for supplementary materials, such as letters of recommendation, a personal statement, a resume, and more. Check your graduate program page for more information.

• How do I apply for financial aid?

• I’m a student in another country. Do I apply as an international student?

  We welcome scholars from all across the globe at UAH. Yes, you can start your application as an international grad student; note the difference between the undergrad and graduate applications.
