Our Commitment to Accessibility

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) welcomes and encourages participation in its programs and activities by all individuals. UAH does not discriminate on the basis of disability and ensures equal access to its programs, services, and activities, including digital content, in accordance with applicable law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Digital accessibility is an integral component of program accessibility and effective communication. UAH develops, procures, and maintains digital content and information and communication technology (ICT) in alignment with recognized accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

UAH maintains a centralized process for identifying, tracking, and resolving accessibility barriers in digital content.

If you encounter an accessibility issue with a UAH website, application, or digital resource, please report the issue through the University’s official accessibility reporting system:

Accessibility Reporting Form

Email: accessibility@uah.edu

All submissions, whether through the reporting form or email, are centrally logged, tracked, and addressed in accordance with the University’s Digital Accessibility Policy (06.09.07) and established procedures.

You do not need to be affiliated with UAH to submit a concern.

Disability Discrimination Complaints

UAH does not discriminate on the basis of disability or other protected class. Concerns regarding discrimination on the basis of disability are addressed through the University’s Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy (06.10.02) and Non-Discrimination and Harassment Complaint Resolution Policy (06.10.03).

Individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination in violation of ADA Title II or Section 504 may file a complaint through the University’s Non-Discrimination grievance process by submitting a report through the Charger360 reporting tool.

Additional reporting options are available through the University’s Ethics Hotline. These processes provide for prompt and equitable resolution in accordance with applicable law.

Mission Accessible is UAH’s university-wide initiative to ensure that online course materials, websites, electronic documents, and campus technologies are accessible to all users.
