The College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences includes two academic departments – the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and the Department of Kinesiology – as well as the UAH Early Learning Center.
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction focuses on collaborative, elementary, English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and secondary teacher preparation, while the Department of Kinesiology focuses on exercise science, sport and fitness management, and preparing physical education teachers.

M.Ed. in Differentiated Instruction
The College of Education at UAH now offers a Master of Education in Differentiated Instruction with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), the first in the state of Alabama to do so.
