About Your Tour:                 

Each campus visit is broken into two parts – an information session and a campus tour with a student tour guide. The information session covers what it's like to be a part of the Charger Nation and provides you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the admissions process, financial aid, scholarships, student life, and housing.

The student-led tour, featuring personal insight from your tour guide, allows you to explore our beautiful 505-acre campus with stops at one of our suite-style residence halls, Salmon Library, the University Fitness Center, and Charger Union. You will also have the opportunity to view a typical classroom.

 

  • Register at least 1-2 weeks in advance, especially if you are requesting additional appointments.

  • We ask if you are feeling ill, have experienced any symptoms within the past 24 hours, or have been in contact with any individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, that you reschedule your appointment.

  • We ask that students bring no more than two guests with them on the tour.

  • Campus Visits typically last for two hours. If you request any additional appointments, each would add 30 minutes to an hour to your visit. You may request an appointment with other campus departments, but please note, they are not guaranteed for the day of your visit and may be virtual.

  • Plan to arrive on campus 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit to allow time for check-in and parking.

  • Once you arrive at our Student Services Building, park in our visitor parking area and bring your license plate number inside to check-in and receive a pass.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes as your visit will include a walking tour of campus. Make sure to bring anything you would need in the case of inclement weather.

  • If you are in need accessibility accommodations, please contact our Campus Visit Coordinator, Vangie Harris, at vangie.harris@uah.edu or 256.824.2718 at least a week prior to your visit and our office will be happy to assist.

 Campus Visits will not be offered on the following days:

  • Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Holiday)
  • December 12 (UAH Commencement)
  • December 23 through January 3 (Winter Break- University Closed)

Visit Days with Limited Appointments

Campus visits WILL be available on the following dates. However, please note individual academic appointments may be limited or not available.

  • Monday, November 21, and Tuesday, November 22
  • Monday, December 5 through Friday, December 9

Group Visits

Group Visits are reserved for high school students in grades 9-12 as well as transfer students.

Group Visits are offered to groups of 25 students or less.  Space and availability are limited. For information regarding Group Visits or to request a Group Visit please email visit@uah.edu.
