Academically talented high school students may apply to enroll at UAH as Dual Enrollment students. Dual enrollment refers to students being enrolled- concurrently in two distinct educational institutions (for example, high school and UAH). Benefits of a dual-enrollment program include:

  • Transferrable college credit
  • Exposure to college-level courses that provide a better understanding of the expectations of college in general
  • Improved skills in time management as well as improved study habits
  • Increased confidence in a student's ability to handle college

Upon the successful completion of courses, students seeking Dual Enrollment may receive college credit. There is no limit to how many courses a student can enroll in, and Dual Enrollment students will receive a scholarship equal to the cost of 1/2 tuition per class!

Before starting your application through Charger Status, get an overview of the process and review application requirements below. If you have any questions along the way, we’re here to help!

Students from participating high schools may also seek Dual Credit, receiving both college and high school credit.
