Academically talented high school students may apply to concurrently enroll at UAH after their sophomore year. Upon the successful completion of courses, students seeking Dual Enrollment may receive college credit. Students from participating high schools may also seek Dual Credit, receiving both college and high school credit.

Dual Enrollment students may take two classes and receive half-off tuition for one class per semester.

Admissions Requirements

  • Applicants must have at least a 2.9 GPA to participate.
  • Applicants must have at least a 20 ACT/1030 SAT score to participate.

ACT/SAT scores

Have your official ACT or SAT scores sent directly to UAH by the testing agency.

Note: We accept ACT or SAT scores listed on your official high school transcript. High school graduates who have been out of high school for five or more years may not be required to submit ACT or SAT test scores.

Students who have not had the opportunity to take the ACT/SAT exam may submit a letter of recommendation for admissions consideration instead of a test score. The recommendation must be from someone who knows the student in an academic capacity (teacher, counselor, etc.). Recommendation letters to should emailed to

AP/IB scores

If applicable, have any official AP/IB credit sent directly from the testing agency to the Registrar's Office to have your scores evaluated for UAH credit. Official AP scores can be requested at

Dual Enrollment Approval Form
