At UAH, we have plenty of ways for you to get involved outside the classroom! These include our 200+ registered student organizations, our active Fraternity and Sorority community, our sports and recreational programs, and our Student Government Association, among many others.

Of course, the best way to connect with your fellow students is by living on campus. Our suite-style residence halls offer a vibrant and inclusive environment that inspires academic achievement, encourages personal development, celebrates diversity, and promotes student leadership and involvement.

UAH has given me so many opportunities to be a student leader on this campus. Whether I'm am working alongside my favorite advisors, giving future students tours of campus, finding my perfect mentee, or hanging out with my leadership friends and sorority sisters, UAH has made my college experience one to remember!

Student Involvement

Student Organizations are a vital part of the UAH community. With over 200 groups, students can share interests, network, volunteer, plan programs, and – most importantly – have FUN! A range of opportunities are available through Leadership Programs, Student Government Association, Sports and Recreation programs, and Fraternity and Sorority organizations.

Student Events

The Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE) is UAH's premier campus activities programming board, hosting a variety of educational, social, recreational, and cultural events throughout the year. A variety of annual events highlight the school year calendar, including the Week of Welcome (WOW) and Homecoming.

Health and Wellness

UAH has resources available to assist students with their physical and mental health. The Student Health Center provides on-campus health care with a range of services. Support for mental well-being is available at the Counseling Center. Opportunities to improve physical fitness is available at the University Fitness Center.

Transition Programs

Finding your place at college can be challenging. That’s why UAH has come up with several ways to help make the transition smoother, starting with Orientation and programs like Week of Welcome and the First Six Weeks. Resources are available for Transfer, Veteran, Minority, Commuter, and Out-of-State Students.

Living at UAH

On-campus residence hall housing is the best way to become part of the Charger community. We have a wide selection of meal plans and dining options. Campus safety features include 24-hour front desk security in all residence halls, a campus alert system, and the UAH Police Department.
