Student Spotlight

Courtney Scallan

UAH has given me so many opportunities to be a student leader on this campus. Whether I'm am working alongside my favorite advisors, giving future students tours of campus, finding my perfect mentee, or hanging out with my leadership friends and sorority sisters, UAH has made my college experience one to remember!

Student Involvement

Student Organizations are a vital part of the UAH community. With over 170 groups, students can share interests, network, volunteer, plan programs, and – most importantly – have FUN! A range of opportunities are available through Leadership Programs, Student Government Association, Sports and Recreation programs, and Greek organizations.

Student Events

The Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE) is UAH's premier campus activities programming board, hosting a variety of educational, social, recreational, and cultural events throughout the year. A variety of annual events highlight the school year calendar, including the Week of Welcome (WOW) and Homecoming.

Health and Wellness

UAH has resources available to assist students with their physical and mental health. The Student Health Center provides on-campus health care with a range of services. Support for mental well-being is available at the Counseling Center. Other services include Disability Support Services and the University Fitness Center.

Transition Programs

Finding your place at college can be challenging. That’s why UAH has come up with several ways to help make the transition smoother, including Orientation and programs outlining the First Six Weeks and the First and Second Year experiences. Resources are available for Transfer, Veteran, Minority, Commuter, and Out-of-State Students.
