I2C Innovation Mentors are subject matter experts, gurus, doers, advisors, folks who want to genuinely connect, contribute and be a pivotal resource to our companies and entrepreneurs. They are enablers of innovation, entrepreneurship and “getting it done”!

Our Innovation Mentors are available to all I2C virtual / resident companies and faculty / students looking to take their idea forward.

Candice is an Assistant Professor of Communication Arts in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She teaches user experience, public relations, and research methods and is co-founder of UAH's eValuation and User Experience (VUE) lab - a campus and community resource for user centered design, usability testing, and physiological research.

Candice's research includes studies of communication apprehension, rhetorics of data (IoT and Big Data), and user experience processes. She received her Ph.D. in Communication and Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) in 2017, and she received her B.A. in Anthropology and Statistics from the George Washington University (Washington, DC) in 2012.
