Mission
The University of Alabama in Huntsville Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) supports and advances the University's mission by providing leadership and expertise in research administration and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Vision
OSP partners with the research and academic community in obtaining and negotiating awards, stewarding sponsored funding in accordance with regulatory requirements, encouraging continuous professional development of our staff, and providing technical expertise to the academic and research community. OSP strives to maintain a balance among these groups by preparing and reviewing proposals to external funding agencies, proper fiscal management of funds received, and oversight of compliance matters related to external funding agencies; and the federal government.
Responsibilities
The Office for Sponsored Programs has responsibility for sponsored programs across the entire lifecycle of the award. OSP's role is to support the faculty, staff and administration of UAH in effectively seeking, obtaining, and managing their research and scholarly activities to enhance their educational role.
