Fringe Research Rates

 

The fringe benefit rate (to be used in all proposal estimates) is 36% of non-student salaries and wages. Note: actual fringe benefits per individual are charged to direct funded contracts and grants. In the case of commercial contracts, the fringe benefit rate is proposed and charged at 36%.

Fringe benefits for Graduate Students is tuition.

Undergraduates do not receive fringe benefits.

 

Graduate Research Assistants must have tuition assistance proposed as a fringe benefit. The GRA tuition rate for AY 11/12 proposals is $1,068/month. Each student's actual tuition amount is charged to the contract. GRA's also receive a fringe benefit of $68/mo. for single-coverage medical insurance.
