The First Amendment, Alabama law and UA System policy

As a public university, UAH upholds the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as well as Alabama law. As part of the University of Alabama System, UAH adheres to UA System policies, including the UA System Institutional Neutrality Resolution and the UA System resolution regarding Institutional Neutrality and Political Activities of System Personnel .

UAH is committed to enabling responsible engagement, deliberation, and debate among the campus communities. UAH will enforce time, place, and manner restrictions that are viewpoint and content neutral to ensure that these interests are protected and that expression does not disrupt the ordinary activities of the institution.
