Summer Community of Scholars Professional Development Sessions For: UAH Students The Summer Community of Scholars (SCS) comprises more than 70 UAH students participating in the Research or Creative Experience for Undergraduates (RCEU) Summer Program, the Honors Capstone Research (HCR) summer program, and the National Science Foundation’s Research Experience for Undergraduates Site and Supplement programs, as well as those serving as NASA interns and conducting independent research on campus during the summer semester. During the summer, six professional development sessions are provided to students as a value-added component to the research experience. The core sessions include research ethics, copyright and patent policies, information literacy, professional discourse, applying to graduate school, and applying for prestigious fellowships and scholarships. Any undergraduate on campus doing or interested in research may attend.
