UAH annually prepares an Annual Security Report and a Fire Safety Report in the interest of promoting student and employee safety and to comply with the requirements of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008. Students, prospective students, employees, and prospective employees are entitled to request a copy of the UAH Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report prepared in compliance with this Act. You are encouraged to review these reports for information on campus safety.
Annual Security Report
The Annual Security Report follows the guidelines mandated by the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. The report contains the university's policy statements and other information regarding matters related to safety and security, instructions for reporting crimes, victim support resources and programs, as well as statistics for certain crimes and conduct violations from the previous three years as mandated by Federal law.
Fire Safety Report
The Fire Safety Report contains information regarding fire safety policies, fire safety systems and fire drills in residential facilities as well as statistics regarding the incidents of fire in residential facilities over the past three years.
Paper copies of these reports may be picked up in person by contacting the UAH Police Department at (256-824-6596) or by visiting the Police Department located inside the lower level of the Intermodal Facility (IMF) during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., exclusive of holidays.
