Advance Your Nursing Career at UAH

At UAH you can earn a high-quality MSN Nurse Practitioner degree that will take your career to the next level. The role of the NP is distinguished by autonomy of practice and characterized by both increased complexity in clinical decision-making and skills in managing organizations and health care environments. Our CCNE-accredited program will prepare you for advanced clinical practice and give you the autonomy to be a decision-maker in your field.

Our expert nurse practitioner faculty provide opportunities for engaging, hands-on clinical practice, preparing students for a multitude of situations they may encounter in clinical practice. And with over 1,000 precepting sites in a variety of clinical settings, our graduates are ready to enter the workforce with the applicable experience that employers value most.

Through any of our Nurse Practitioner programs, Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN-AGACNP), and the Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program, you'll be prepared to provide a high quality of care to patients in a variety of settings.

Flexible

Designed to be flexible, our hybrid program consists of online and in-person instruction so you can further your nursing career without compromising your current professional commitments. New students are accepted to the program three times a year.

Reputable

Students are provided opportunities to engage with experienced NP faculty who remain current in clinical practice within the community. Our faculty prepare students for independent practice and life-long learning with an option to continue their education in a DNP or PhD program. Due to this, our graduates are employed in a variety of settings and provide a high quality of care across the nation.

UAH students are highly preferred among regional preceptors. In addition, our MSN-FNP or MSN-AGACNP graduates have over a 90% passing rate on their national certification examinations and are highly recruited by several regional healthcare providers.
