Academic Affairs
- The Listener's License website has been updated to show that the program is suspended for Fall 2020. https://www.uah.edu/registrar/listener-s-license-program
- Classes begin on Wednesday, August 19th
- On August 1, 2020, The University of Alabama System issued the “Comprehensive Health and Safety Plan: Summary of Plan Revisions,” which provides the latest health and safety requirements for the three UA System campuses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Summary calls upon us, the UAH faculty and staff, to comply with the following requirements:
- Training (Required for Entry)
- Charger Healthcheck (Required for Entry and Remaining on Campus)
- Testing for COVID-19 (Required for Entry)
- On-Campus Instruction Calendar (Required)
- Face Coverings (Required)
- Physical Distancing (Required)
- Student and Academic Event Limitations (Required)
- Compliance and Enforcement (Required)
Advancement/University President’s Office/ODEI/Athletics
- ODEI - 100th anniversary of Women's Suffrage - celebrate on 8/18/20 by wearing white with purple and gold
- OMC - Building Closure and Access Issues - website is being updated, but visit this page for info on current building status
- Fall Sports are postponed in the GSC until January.
Facilities and Operations
- UAH Return to Campus (RTC) health clinic annex and sentinel testing sites at Ex Plaza 800/400 interior is complete. We have a few more things on the exterior to complete.
- Morton Hall is wrapping down to final items. If you want to schedule a walkthrough please contact Christian. No formal walkthrough will be scheduled.
- All campus drinking fountains have now been disabled. Only the bottle filling stations are operational.

Student Affairs
- The UFC is open with adjusted hours for the fall: M-F 5am-8pm, Sat. 7am-8pm, Sun. 1pm-5pm
- Face masks are required to enter the building and are required at all times when not actively working out
- Showers and locker rooms have been reopened, youth exercise will be reopening in September
- All areas are open but are subject to new social distancing guidelines: https://www.uah.edu/university-recreation/ufc-covid-19-information
- The group exercise schedule is now posted completely online; in-person and virtual class options are available: https://www.uah.edu/university-recreation/programs/group-exercise
- Students are required to scan in with their Charger Cards; faculty and staff will be required to do so in the very near future
- Limited programming will be offered throughout the semester and will be communicated on social media/our website
- Swim lessons are canceled until 2021
