myUAH is UAH's secure web portal which allows current students and employees to access campus information, news, and announcements. The focus of myUAH is to be an intranet that allows employees and students to access UAH information that is geared specifically to University affiliates. Learn more by visiting our myUAH FAQs.


Banner is used to maintain student, financial aid, finance, and human resource data. Access is controlled for security purposes. To register for classes, complete your timesheet, and other common tasks, log into Self Service Banner (SSB) directly or access the SSB links via myUAH. For more complex functions, authorized faculty and staff may log into Internet Native Banner (INB). Google Apps

UAH is a Google Apps for Education campus. As such, faculty, staff, and students have access to a robust suite of Google Apps. Chief among these are Mail, Calendar, Drive, Groups, and Sites. Mail is the most prominent and most widely used of the apps and serves as the university’s official vehicle for communications. For an overview on Google Apps, visit the Google Apps Learning Center. Canvas is UAH’s learning management system (LMS). It is a software-based platform that allows for communication between faculty and students, online coursework, testing, and more. Users can access Canvas via the link under OIT Services in myUAHVisit the Canvas Guides to view tutorials, videos, or to submit feature requests.


Chargerware is UAH's online software repository. In addition to free software, users can find helpful links to commonly used campus resources and helpful online tools. Login to the system to see what resources are available to you. 

Panopto (Lecture Capture)

Panopto is UAH’s lecture capture system. This technology allows instructors to record lectures that include desktop display as well as video and audio for playback by students through the LMS. Users can access Panopto via their Canvas courses. Visit Panopto Support to view documentation and video tutorials.

TurningTechnology Clickers

TurningTechnology is the official audience responseware system (Clickers) used at UAH. Clickers allow instructors to gauge student comprehension, poll classroom participants, and engage students in large lecture environments. Students can purchase Clickers in the UAH bookstore. Instructors may request a complementary instructor packet by contacting the OIT Help Desk. Visit TurningTechnologies to view documentation and video tutorials.

Classroom AV

Academic Technologies maintains classroom hardware across campus including Smart Boards, Smart Podiums, instructor desktops, projectors, and audio-visual equipment. Video Conferencing Services

Intercampus Interactive Telepresence System (IITS) is The University of Alabama System's interactive telepresence network. IITS makes every effort to accommodate all telepresence users, including non-network members, desktop users, and the common Internet. Additional information is available on their website.


Qualtrics is a web-based software solution that allows users to create surveys, collect feedback, and poll for data using a variety of distribution means and generate reports without having any previous programming knowledge. Qualtrics is accessible through myUAH. Visit their support and training site to view documentation and video tutorials.
