The Accelerated BSN Concentration is a 3-semester program for academically qualified and highly motivated individuals with a bachelor’s degree or higher in another field who wish to earn a BSN degree. The College of Nursing developed the Accelerated BSN concentration as an Academic Practice Partnership that uses the Student Nurse Apprentice program approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing, giving students one-on-one mentoring by a practicing nurse for one year. The ABSN concentration will allow students to earn income as a Student Nurse Apprentice while meeting clinical requirements and guarantees job placement upon successful program completion and passing the NCLEX exam. Applications open March 1st - August 9th for the spring 2024 semester. Interested students are strongly encouraged to meet with or contact a UAH College of Nursing advisor when applying to the program.
