The Lean Healthcare Series includes an introduction to Lean Thinking and an overview of how to identify non-value added activities in healthcare, apply the PDCA continuous improvement cycle and utilize lean concepts and tools to eliminate non-value added activities and achieve overall performance improvement in healthcare.
This 1-day course includes an overview of lean concepts and tools and is designed for participants who need the skills and understanding of the lean methodology to participate on improvement teams and contribute to building a lean culture. Participants desiring to achieve the Lean Healthcare Bronze Certification will have the option to take and pass a certifying written assessment at the conclusion of the class. This assessment is designed to measure overall knowledge of material covered.

This 4-day training series is designed for participants who are ready to implement the lean concepts, lead teams and propel the development of a lean culture. Upon completion, participants will be able to identify improvement opportunities, define and scope projects and drive team-based improvement activities by applying the lean tools and concepts in a healthcare environment. Participants desiring to achieve Lean Healthcare Silver Certification will have the option to take and pass a certifying written assessment at the conclusion of the final day of class. This assessment is designed to measure overall knowledge and applicability of the material covered during the training.
