Welcome to the UAH Department of History The history faculty wants to help you learn about the past and prepare you for the future. We are dedicated to excellence in research and teaching, and strive to create a range of classes and programs to meet your interests. If you are an undergraduate student, you can earn a major or minor in history. You can take the new interdisciplinary public history minor to build job skills. You can also learn in other interdisciplinary programs in Ancient and Medieval Studies, Women's and Gender Studies, Global Studies, and Latin American Studies. If you are a graduate student, the department also has a graduate program in which you can earn a traditional master's degree in history. You can also earn a master's in history and a teaching credential in the non-traditional fifth-year program.
