The College of Education collaborates with the College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences, and the College of Science and local schools to offer undergraduate teacher preparation programs that combine a broad liberal education base and professional studies that are content-rich with diverse field experiences integrated into all coursework.

B.A. in Art with a Concentration in Education (P-12)
Students in elementary programs may add a collaborative-special education (K-6) endorsement with additional coursework and an internship.
B.A. in Music with a Concentration in Education (P-12)
B.S. in Child, Family, and Community Development
The B.S. in Child, Family & Community Development (CFCD) degree provides opportunities for students who wish to work with young children and their families in a community setting outside of a formal public or private school setting (meaning without a state-issued teaching certification). This program will develop leaders in the field who focus on improving the lives of young children and families whether that be through high-quality early care and education programs, non-profits, children’s museums, recreation centers or similar specialized programming, etc.

B.S. in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education
Students in the Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education programs will be eligible to apply for Alabama Class B Early Childhood (P-3) and Class B Early Childhood Special Education (P-3) teaching certificates.
B.S. in Secondary Education with the following concentration options:
Students in secondary education programs may add a middle school endorsement or a collaborative-special education (6-12) endorsement with additional coursework and an internship.
