UAH SBDC/PTAC will celebrate 10 years of hosting the Business MatchMaker event on Oct. 25. The keynote speaker is Jonathan T. Hard (BS, MGMT '05), CEO and President of H2L Solutions, Inc.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville's (UAH) Procurement Technical Assistance Center will celebrate 10 years of hosting the annual Business MatchMaker event on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Jackson Center in Huntsville.

The keynote speaker is Jonathan T. Hard (BS, MGMT '05), CEO and President of H2L Solutions, Inc. H2L specializes in Cyber and Information Assurance and provides Cyber Security solutions for government and commercial customers.

The event begins at 7:15 a.m., with registration and breakfast, followed by an 8 a.m., address by Hard. The Business MatchMaker sessions will begin after the breakfast address. Pre-registration is required to secure attendance at this year’s event. To register please visit: uah.edu/sbdc/events.

The PTAC Business Matchmaker is a great opportunity for registered small business contractors to connect with government agencies and prime contractors one-on-one.

The 12-minute sessions (beginning at 8:30 a.m.) will provide small businesses the chance to discuss how they can meet the needs of agencies and prime contractors by providing detailed information concerning their capabilities during the important networking event.

UAH College of Business alumnus Jonathan T. Hard is a sought-after speaker in the field of cybersecurity solutions. H2L Solutions is a HUBZone certified and service disabled veteran owned Small Business based in Huntsville and founded in 2014.

Prior to founding the company, Hard served as a Cyber Security Engineer in the defense industry. He also served in the Alabama National Guard for 12 years; during that time, he graduated from Infantry Officer Basic Course, U.S. Ranger School, U.S. Army Airborne School, and completed a tour in Iraq as an Infantry officer.

H2L is the recipient of numerous awards including 2016 Best Places to Work, 2015 Emerging Business of the Year Award, both awards were presented by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, and finalist for the Women's Business Center of North Alabama's Startup of the year Award, and the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Hard serves on the Board of Directors for several Huntsville-area community service organizations and small businesses including the Harris Home for Children and Huntsville Association of Small Business in Advanced Technology.

He received his degree in Business Management from UAH and continues to have a strong relationship with the university. In 2016, Hard received an Alumni of Achievement Award from UAH. The award recognizes graduates who have distinguished themselves professionally and personally and who exemplify the high standards of the university.

The UAH PTAC provides services including determining potential for government contracting and required registrations for the following Northeast Alabama counties: Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan.
