  • UAH Competitive Scholarships: Priority applications are due by December 15th each year. Student eligibility is based on various criteria, including academic interests and achievements, special talents, and demonstrated leadership.
  • Payment Plan through Bursar
  • Paying for Your UAH Education: Scholarships, Tuition Benefits, and Other Ways to Afford Your Education
  • ChargerPath:  UAH's career site provides various employment opportunities, including professional, temporary, and student jobs. 
  • Federal Work Study: a need-based program that provides students with part-time employment. Your FAFSA determines eligibility. Working on campus offers a flexible schedule around academics, the opportunity to get to know other Chargers and an easy commute.
  • SMAP: part-time work assignments that directly impact professional opportunities
  • SSAFE Fund: This fund assists students who face unforeseen, critical, or emergent situations that affect their mental, emotional, or financial well-being. 
  • Last- Mile & Home Stretch Fund: UAH Last-Mile Funds help to reduce financial barriers to graduation for upper-level, degree-seeking, undergraduate students. Funds are disbursed to students who have completed at least 90 credit hours toward their undergraduate degree, with preference given to students in their last 30 degree-seeking hours (or who have registered to graduate) and whose financial status reflects the greatest need.

  • Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you qualify for scholarships and grants.
  • Federal Pell Grant Program: provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduates.
  • Catholic Center of Concern: provides low-income, unemployed, and other qualified individuals with emergency cash grants and financial assistance for paying rent, mortgage, utility, and cooling bills, as well as grants, vouchers, and prescription medications.
  • Huntsville Assistance Program - HAP: Emergency Food Pantry and Emergency Financial Assistance in Madison County
  • Churches United For The People, or CUP: This assistance is usually limited to $100.00 for rent or utility assistance. If approved, the funds are given directly to the utility company or landlord. Call for appointment eligibility 256.539.8720.
  • Vocational Rehabilitation Service: provides individualized employment—and education-related services and training to assist youth and adults with disabilities in achieving their employment goals.
  • Madison County Chamber of Commerce: career opportunities in various jobs including but limited to banking, education, health care, retail, and construction.
  • LinkedIn: access knowledge, insights, and job opportunities.
