Colleagues,
As you have heard, UAH has launched a multi-year Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization effort to upgrade and unify our core business systems. This effort will streamline many of our finance, human resources and student processes into a single, efficient platform.
This will yield significant benefits:
- Enhanced decision-making: Improving our capacity for data-driven planning and strategy.
- Better process efficiency: Reducing manual work and paper-based processes across campus.
- Improved experiences: Laying the groundwork for future innovation and a better experience for students, faculty and staff.
We are excited to share the latest update on this transformative program.
Why are we launching this effort?
Current technology systems and processes in the areas of finance, human resources, research administration, and student services have evolved over several decades through standalone technology solutions and without consideration for the ever-changing needs of higher education. Our aim is to invest in unified, integrated and adaptive systems that will enable UAH to keep pace with technological advancement and cultivate future innovation.
Who are our partners?
We are excited to announce that the UAH ERP Selection Committee has chosen Oracle, a global leader in cloud enterprise software, as our cloud ERP vendor, as we believe that its advanced data and AI capabilities, robust support for research, and strong alignment with our long-term goals make it the best fit for UAH’s future.
Additionally, we have decided to continue our work with Huron Consulting Group by selecting them as our ERP implementation partner, building on our strong relationship and their proven success with over 250 institutions.
Over the next several years, Oracle and Huron will help us transform our core enterprise systems and eventually enable our institution to quickly adopt new innovations, enhance our strategic decision-making, reduce manual processes for our people and promote technology-driven engagement that will improve the UAH student experience.
What’s next?
You won’t see changes in your daily work just yet, but important preparation is underway behind the scenes. Through January 2026, the program team will be continuing key foundational activities. After that, we’ll begin shaping how the future system will work by mapping processes, exploring design options and preparing for more detailed testing and training in later phases before system go-live in late 2027.In addition, program branding is coming soon! For now, you’ll see us refer to this effort simply as UAH’s ERP Modernization Program. Once we’ve had the opportunity to thoughtfully develop a name and identity with input from the UAH community, we’ll begin using the official ERP Modernization Program brand.
How can I stay informed?
