QEP 1 - LINKS Kristen Thompson, Senior Program Coordinator, SSCJessie Jones, Digital Content & Event Coordinator, SSC UAH is dedicated to providing a student-centered experience and has a comprehensive network of support services. However, not all of these services are fully utilized or well-integrated with other services across campus. This can make it difficult for students to connect to what they need. This proposal recommends adopting a customer relationship management (CRM) tool that can meet students’ needs by unifying key services under one technological umbrella so that both residential and commuter students can have better access to existing services. To solve this problem, this proposal seeks to institutionalize Rocket to Retention (R2R), a first-year student success intervention that attempts to smooth the transition from high school to college. This intervention would establish strategies to strengthen the connection of UAH students to the relationships, skills, and opportunities they need to be successful. Incoming students often exhibit deficits in organizational and time management skills, which in turn results in increased levels of anxiety and depression. Fortunately, such skills can be developed through innovative instructional strategies and support services. This proposal recommends UAH become a neuroresponsive campus with a classroom culture that responds to evolving student needs. View the full Project REACH proposal.
