The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requires that member institutions develop a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as part of the reaffirmation process. The QEP “is derived from an institution’s ongoing comprehensive planning and evaluation processes. It reflects and affirms a commitment to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue that the institution considers important to improving student learning outcomes and/or student success.” QEPs must clearly address student learning, engage participation on relevant constituencies on campus, and be based on an assessment of need. In addition, the QEP needs to be implementable within reasonable resources and include broad agreement that the plan is important and valuable. UAH's 2026 QEP is currently under development by campus constituents. Three Pre-Proposals have been selected for development into full proposals that will be presented to the UAH community during the Fall 2024 term. A summary of each proposal, as well as a list of collaborators, is available for review in the Proposals tab. If you have attended a Proposal presentation, please fill out this survey and let us know what you thought about each proposal. These surveys are anonymous and integral to the QEP process! The Student Services Center and the Enhanced Teaching and Learning Center are products of the two previous QEPs from 2006 and 2016, respectively. More information about previous UAH QEPs is available for review in the Past QEPs tab. The QEP Development Committee includes the following members: Deb Heikes, College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences, Co-Chair Terri Johnson, College of Science Assistant Dean, Co-Chair Fran Hamilton, College of Education Jennifer English, College of Engineering Associate Dean Kevin Bao, College of Business Leigh Remy, ASAP Director Lillian Joyce, College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences Liz Redding, College of Education Mark Porter, SGA President Miranda Smith, College of Nursing Misty McFadden, OIREA Morgan Lewis, College of Science Ronnie Hebert, VP for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Valerie Johnson, SSC Director
