Ng, Ph.D. Professor, Biological Sciences Contact 301 Sparkman DriveShelby CenterRoom 369JHuntsville, AL 35899 Campus Map 256.824.6166ngj@uah.edu Biography Dr. Joseph (Joe) Ng received his doctorate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside and did his postdoctoral work studying macromolecular crystal growth and X-ray crystallography at The National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France. Dr. Ng’s research combines the techniques of molecular biology, protein chemistry and X-ray crystallography to decipher the three-dimensional structure of proteins associated with essential biological functions and genomics. Most recently, his laboratory has been studying the gene products and their functions associated with inflammation, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and SARS-CoV-2 identification. Dr. Ng is also a co-founder and President of iXpressGenes Inc at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. He has been instrumental in advancing the Biotechnology community in Huntsville AL in his involvement and collaboration with the UAH business school, private companies and government laboratories.
