May 22, 2023 Three Spring 2023 graduates received commissions as Second Lieutenants in the Alabama National Guard on Wednesday. 2LT Wiersig branched Military Police, 2LT Sullivan branched Engineer, and 2LT Schiermeier branched Chemical. LTG Mohan, Deputy Commanding General of the Army Materiel Command at Redstone Arsenal and guest speaker for the ceremony, led the new officers as they took their oath of office. The commissioning ceremony is the culmination of their four years as an ROTC Cadet. Congratulations to the new 2LTs as they begin their new careers as officers in the United States Army!
