CampusOptics EHS Compliance Platform

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety is excited to introduce CampusOptics. This software is a comprehensive environmental health and safety platform that will serve as a management tool for all aspects of laboratory and facility safety at UAH. CampusOptics was designed specifically for institutions of higher education and will allow OEHS to consolidate and streamline safety management across campus. Management functions include chemical inventory, hazardous waste, laboratory and facility inspections, and environmental compliance. 

OEHS will roll out access to CampusOptics starting in November 2025. All PIs and lab managers with information currently in Chematix will receive communication via email about the new system, as well as instructions on how to access the software and complete basic tasks in the system.

You log in using your UAH Single Sign On. If you do not have a UAH SSO and need access to CampusOptics reach out to OEHS@uah.edu to request access.

OEHS will accept Chematix labeled waste until November 22nd, 2025. After that date you will need to remove the old Chematix labels and relabel them with CampusOptics waste labels.

You can use this link to access Chematix and submit your pickup requests.

If there are unresolved audit findings in Chematix by December 1st, 2025 OEHS will add those findings to CampusOptics.

Direct anyone you want to add to your space to this CampusOptics Access Request Form. They will need to fill out the form and the PI/Space Owner will need to approve their request before OEHS adds them to CampusOptics. Space owners are able to remove people from their spaces at any time - refer to the Quick Start Guide for instructions.
