Learn more about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) while enjoying authentic German cuisine, beverages and live music at the Biergarten at The U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to OLLI at UAH, a part of The University of Alabama System.

Plenty of OLLI members will be on hand to talk about the organization, which offers members the opportunity to stay intellectually and socially active through courses, special activities and bonus lectures on a wide range of topics. OLLI is open to ages 50 and up.

Biergarten is a weekly family-friendly event open to the public. It’s held in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration’s Saturn V Hall on select Thursdays through October. It spotlights local charities on a regular basis. Visit rocketcenter.com for details.
