The American Shakespeare Center on Tour will perform three plays on the UAH campus in February.
American Shakespeare 2013 at UAH JAN 07, 2013 | Joyce Anderson-Maples HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (January 7, 2013) —The American Shakespeare Center on Tour will perform three plays on The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) campus in February. All play performances and lectures will be presented in the University Center Exhibit Hall beginning at 7 p.m. University faculty members will present a pre-show lecture at 6 p.m., each night. The Twelfth Night, a comedy by William Shakespeare will be presented on Tuesday, Feb. 5; Love's Labour's Lost, an early Shakespeare comedy will be performed on Wednesday, Feb. 6. The Duchess of Malfia tragic play written by English dramatist John Webster in the 16th century will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 7. The Huntsville Literary Association (HLA) and the UAH English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta support the theatrical performances. Tickets for American Shakespeare 2013 at UAH will be available beginning the week of January 7, and are available at The Arts Council, The Coffee Tree (Bailey Cove Road), and the UAH English Department (located in Morton Hall room 222).Admission price per performance includes students $12, HLA members and senior adults (65 years and up) $15, and the general public $20.
