The UAH Office of Military & Veterans Programs, located on the first floor of the Student Services Building, assists veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors of veterans with their transition into higher learning and supports students as they pursue their education goals at UAH.

UAH MVP is not simply an administrative cernter for processing military benefits, the Office of Military & Veterans Programs serves as the point of contact for anything related to the MilVet community. UAH is dedicated to honoring the service of our Student Veterans and our military dependents and the MVP staff are available to  act as your advocate and advisor throughout the entirety your UAH experience.

Veteran Advisory Board

Our UAH Veteran Advisory Board consists of UAH full-time faculty and staff who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Board meets periodically to evaluate and discuss UAH's mission to support Service Members, Veterans, and their dependents. Our goal is to develop new ways to support our MilVet students, ensure the university is meeting the needs of our MilVet community, and advocate on behalf of the Veteran community in higher education.

Veteran Transition Assistance

As Service Members transition into their Veteran world, we are here to encourage and guide Veterans through their transition. We firmly believe that the military transition never truly ends, it only gets easier. UAH is able to provide personal development, career advising, and mental health counseling through university services and community partners.

MilVet Student Training

UAH's Office of Military & Veterans Programs is proud to provide training, guidance, and consultation to education and corporate partners on best practices for serving our GWOT Veteran community. Veterans of the Global War on Terror are unique in their postures and experiences. While our office supports the needs of all generations of Veterans, the GWOT generation is where we specialize. We use our experiences and our knowledge base to connect, embolden, and promote the needs and aspirations of the GWOT Veteran.
