Website Usability Study Volunteers Needed

Website Usability Study: Volunteers are needed!

Every year, the Salmon Library hosts various studies and projects to insure its library website is staying relative and useful for our patrons in the UAH Community. The Library will be launching the first 2025 study this April and needs students, faculty, and staff to volunteer. Each session will take around 30-45 minutes.

Feedback from this study is valuable for influencing the future of the website and access to large number of resources and services the Library has for its community.

The study requires no previous experience with web- or user-design.

There will be a thank you gift for all participants. Snacks, classic library shirts, and other library-themed swag will be up for grabs.

If you are interested in volunteering, email doug.bolden@uah.edu

Learn More about the Sensory Space

If you missed last week's Sensory Space Grand Opening, you can still find out more about the newest service offered by the Salmon Library by reading the handy guide

The Sensory Space is a calm and quiet space where UAH students, faculty, and staff can take a much-needed break to regulate, relax, meditate, stretch, or just be. A variety of comfortable seating options, soft non-fluorescent light sources, and calming and sensory activities are available in this large space located in room LIB 210 on the second floor

The Sensory Space is divided into four quadrants. Each quadrant has unique furnishings that offer different experiences and ways to relax and regulate, but each space is flexible and doesn’t have to be used in a specific way.
