international food fair slide

On March 30th, 2019, from 11am to 2pm, the M. Louis Salmon Library and the International Society of Huntsville are bringing the first ever International Food Festival to the M. Louis Salmon Library (on the University of Alabama in Huntsville campus). This will be a great opportunity to sample food dishes and desserts from around the world and to experience the many tastes and flavors of international cuisine. There will be live music and dances throughout the entire Fair and chances to meet the people who bring the Annual International Festival of North Alabama (iFest) to life. Those interested will find out ways to volunteer and take part in our amazing community.

UAH students are able to get in for free with a Charger ID. All others can donate $10 (or more) to enter.

Huntsville has a large international community and this Fair will demonstrate that. There will be food samples from many countries, including a relatively unique opportunity for people in the area to try out dishes from Hungary, Kazakhstan, Panama, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Brazil, Nigeria, Poland, and Scotland. This is only a portion of the countries represented, so attendees will have lots of choices and surprises.

This year’s iFest is our tenth annual, a landmark year, and is endorsed by the Alabama Bicentennial Committee. We invite all to attend and to take part in making this happen.
