Written by: Rachel Payne August 29, 2022 UAH was recently awarded the 2022 Huntsville Beautification "Honor Roll" Award on August 5 by Mayor Tommy Battle, Huntsville Beautification Board, and City Council President, John Meredith. The UAH Facilities & Operations grounds maintenance and landscaping team has been working diligently year-round to enhance the natural beauty of the campus and improve the outdoor space. Area businesses are judged and recognized for their efforts to keep their properties clean, visually pleasing, and well-maintained. There were 500 properties judged, and 386 earned Honor Roll awards. The F&O department has a 5-year goal to win the Mayor’s Award which is the BEST landscaped property in the City that year. To earn this award, a property must have won the honor roll for 5 or more consecutive years and receive a perfect score from three judges.
