Biography

Vanesa Martin is a Research Scientist for the SERVIR program with interests in land cover monitoring, crop classification, agroforestry, applications of synthetic aperture radar, and public policy. She has bachelors degrees in Geography/Environmental Studies and Political Science from UCLA, and a Master’s of Arts in Public Affairs and Policy from UAH. When not working with SERVIR, she loves watching stand-up comedy and learning about maps, black holes, and ghost towns in the Southwest.
