Feb 01, 2018 | Christine Lewis UAH Honors College has appointed ISEEM professor Dr. Paul Collopy as one of two Honors Faculty Fellows for the 2018-2019 academic year. Next Fall he will teach Honors Special Seminar on "The Future of Design" (HON 301), in addition to a section of Honors First Year Design (HON 101). Dr. Collopy will assist the Chair of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering on implementing the first iteration of Honors Senior Design Supplement. The role also includes collaboration with the other Honors Faculty Fellow, Dr. Rolf Goebel of World Languages and Cultures, to develop and coordinate the campus-wide speaker series. Together, they will also mentor Honors students in scholarship and graduate school applications. "I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Goebel. Our backgrounds are diametrically different, so it will be a fun and interesting dynamic," says Dr. Collopy. The Honors Faculty Fellowship is a new program with the Honors College. Appointments are renewable for one year.
