The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers a program leading to the Master of Science in Engineering with specializations in Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Structural Mechanics, and related fields. The Department also offers a program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree through the joint program with the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). Some of the specific areas in which a student can specialize are: Applied Mechanics Computational Methods in Mechanics Dynamics Environmental Engineering Experimental Mechanics Fluid Mechanics Geoenvironmental Engineering Geotechnical Engineering Hazardous Waste Management Hydraulic Engineering Hydrologic Processes and Modeling Optical Engineering Reinforced Concrete Structures Soil Grouting and Improvement Soil Structure Interaction Solid Mechanics Space Environment Space-Based Construction Structural Dynamics Structural Engineering Structural Mechanics Structural Polymer Composites Structural Hazard Mitigation Structural Repair and Rehabilitation Timber Engineering Water Quality Control For more information please contact the CEE Graduate Program Coordinator Dr. Tingting Wu at tw0051@uah.edu.
