It may be cold outside, but spring is in the air. Registration has begun for the OLLI 2023 spring semester. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), a part of the UA system, has released its course guide for the spring. The guide features approximately seventy courses covering a wide variety of topics including history, literature, music, foreign languages, exercise, science, and philosophy. The semester starts on January 30 and runs until May 5.

“Spring is a season associated with rebirth and our OLLI course guide offers classes guaranteed to help you branch out and expand your mind and skill set. Whether it is astronomy, photography, climate change or even belly dancing, we have something for everyone,” says OLLI Program Manager Clay Williams. The guide continues to feature courses that are in-person, online, or a combination of the two. There are no grades or tests. “There is no better time to join or come back if you let your membership lapse,” says Williams.

To share more about upcoming offerings, OLLI will be hosting an Open House on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 10 am to Noon in the Wilson Hall Lobby on the UAH campus. Attendees can meet staff, instructors, and fellow members as well as tour the facilities. Come learn all about courses, special events, and benefits that OLLI members enjoy.

OLLI at UAH is a vibrant community of lifelong learners. Although it is designed for adults ages 50 and above, there is no age requirement and you are welcome to join at any age. OLLI offers the opportunity to stay intellectually and socially active through courses, social activities, bonus lectures, and more. For more information visit Osher.uah.edu.
