The University of Alabama in Huntsville is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 UAH Foundation Staff Awards. These prestigious awards honor four exceptional staff members who demonstrate excellence in their roles and contribute significantly to the UAH community. Award recipients will receive a $1,000 award and a Certificate of Appreciation, and will be celebrated at a special ceremony in late Spring.
Award Categories:
- Staff Excellence Award (Two awards: one non-exempt and one exempt employee)
- Facilities Excellence Award
- Leadership Award
Nomination Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Faculty and staff are invited to submit nominations. However, please note that these awards are for staff employees only; faculty nominations will be handled through a separate process through Academic Affairs.
- Required submission: Each nomination must include a completed Key Reasons statement (linked below). Nominations submitted without this form will be considered incomplete and will not be counted.
- Individual Nominations Only: Nominations submitted on behalf of multiple nominators or entire departments are not allowed; such submissions will only be credited as one nomination and will not replace individual submissions. You may submit nominations for multiple employees, provided the nomination process is completed separately for each nominee.

Nomination Process:
- Nominate a Staff Member – Complete the Google Nomination Form to nominate a staff member.
- Key Reasons Form (Required) – Upload a Statement of Key Reasons explaining why your nominee deserves the award. Please include specific, detailed examples of the nominee’s contributions.
- Additional Documents (Optional) – You may upload supporting documents in the nomination form or email them to staffawards@uah.edu.
Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27th, 2026.
A Selection Committee composed of past award recipients will review all nominations and select this year’s awardees. Please note that employees who received a Staff Award in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are not eligible for nomination.
