We will highlight the achievements and recognize efforts & accomplishments of select UAH employees who have reached 30+ years of service with The University of Alabama Huntsville every quarter. It is an honor to spotlight some of our outstanding colleagues whose exceptional contributions have truly made a difference within our university. We are thrilled to recognize the remarkable achievements they have made over the course of their prestigious careers. Their hard work and commitment have not only elevated their own performance but have also positively impacted our entire campus and community. Dr. James (Jim) Baird: Spotlight Video Service Awards It is the policy of The University of Alabama in Huntsville to recognize the contributions of long-term faculty and staff members through the Employee Recognition Program. Each year the University recognizes faculty and staff who have completed key service milestones of five years of full-time regular service and for each five years thereafter (10, 15, 20, 25 etc.). 2025 Service Award Recipients by Year 2025 Service Award Recipients by Department View the Service Awards Photo Gallery Foundation Staff Awards The University of Alabama in Huntsville, through the UAH Foundation, recognizes four staff employees who by action or idea make exceptional contributions to The University's mission to: Support the goals for excellence in teaching, research, health care and community service; Promote a high level of morale or exemplary service to students, faculty and co-workers; or, Demonstrate performance above and beyond the requirements of their positions. The staff award categories are: Staff Excellence (two awards: one non-exempt and one exempt employee) Facilities Excellence Leadership The recipients of these prestigious awards will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and a check for $1,000. 2026 Staff Award Nominations Nominations are now open for the 2026 UAH Foundation Staff Awards. Please review the nomination guidelines below: Nominations may be submitted by faculty and staff, but only staff are eligible for consideration. Faculty nominations will be handled through a separate process through Academic Affairs. As part of the nomination process, a statement of key reasons for each nominee is required—nominations missing the key reasons form will be considered incomplete and not counted. Optional supporting documentation may also be submitted. However, please note, that nominations submitted on behalf of multiple people will not be considered as multiple nominations.
