A message from the president of UAH.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

This week we are making a significant step to enhance our campus. We are breaking ground on a new College of Engineering building. As you know, The College of Engineering is the largest college at UAH with more than 2,850 students and more than 90 faculty and staff. Huntsville is continuing to grow and to meet the needs of our current and potential students, we know a new building will be important for our future.

The new College of Engineering building will be an 80,000-square-foot, multi-story academic and research facility with state-of-the-art learning environments. The building will create a new and prominent face for the College of Engineering adjacent to the campus lake along John Wright Drive.

I hope that you will join me and The University of Alabama System Chancellor Finis St. John on Friday, April 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the groundbreaking tent outside the Engineering Building. This will be a moment that will change the trajectory of the College of Engineering and UAH.

Hope to see you there!

Charles L. Karr
President
