After a 3 year hiatus due to Covid-19, UAH's 9th Annual Health Careers Day is back, Friday, November 4th, from 8:30am-3:00pm!

Health Careers Day is a conference for students with an interest in pursuing careers in the field of healthcare (PA, OT, Medicine, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Clinical Lab Science, etc.). The day will start with a welcome and opening keynote from a professional in the community, Dr. Tony Weaver. Following this, there will be three workshop session blocks. Our workshop topics will range from Research, Rural Medicine, Careers in Pharmacy, What's your Why, Admissions panel, Professional panel, and more. Students will be able to choose from different educational workshops to attend during each block. After the last workshop block, we will have our Exhibition Fair and lunch. The Exhibition Fair will host admissions representatives from various graduate health profession programs, organizations with health-related internships (medical, biotech, etc.), and other community partners. After the Exhibition Fair, we will come back together for our closing keynote presentation: a live-streamed cadaver presentation!

The event is free of charge for students attending and will provide a free lunch for those who register. T-shirts are being sold as a fundraiser for the event and the RSOs planning it. We have also invited students from the local high schools, community colleges, and universities in addition to our UAH students to attend the conference.
