A representative from the Public Education Employees Health Insurance Plan (PEEHIP) is offering an in-person session for current and future UAH retirees. If you are planning to retire soon, this will be a valuable opportunity to learn more about the PEEHIP health insurance and Medicare supplement plans. As you may have read in the July publication of The Advisor published by The Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA), PEEHIP is changing to United Healthcare (UHC) to administer the PEEHIP Group Medicare Advantage Plan for Medicare-eligible retirees and covered Medicare-eligible dependents of retirees effective January 1, 2023.
The PEEHIP presentation will provide an overview of all things PEEHIP related, including Open Enrollment dates, PEEHIP staff availability, Optional plans, Premium questions, Insurance Rates, and will also focus on the Medicare changeover for members as of 1/1/2023 from Humana to UHC. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the conclusion of the presentation and PEEHIP will be able to answer any questions that you may have.
A representative from the UAH Retirement Association will also be in attendance and can speak to you regarding how to join the association upon retirement.
