The CDC has expanded eligibility for COVID-19 booster shots to all adults 18 years of age and older.
You are eligible for a booster if you are 6 months past your second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or 2 months past your single dose Janssen/J&J vaccine. You may choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive as a booster shot. Some people may prefer the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.
To schedule an appointment, please log on to the UAH Health Portal. Non-UAH affiliated persons may call our COVID Vaccine Scheduling line at 256.824.2400. Vaccines are administered at Executive Plaza, 555 Sparkman Drive, Bldg. 800, Suite 818, across the street from the Bevill Center.
If you have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19, we encourage you to do so. UAH now offers your choice of 2 dose Pfizer-BioNTech (ages 5+), Moderna (ages 18+), and 1 dose Johnson & Johnson (ages 18+) vaccines as well.
** Alabama law now requires individuals 18 and younger to have a parent/guardian signature on the consent form for COVID-19 vaccinations. Email shc@uah.edu to request a consent form in advance.
