April 7, 2021 Dear Charger Community, We continue to make data- and expert-driven decisions in accordance with the UA System Comprehensive Health and Safety Plan to safely move closer to normal operations. Please note the following change to our COVID-19 health and safety requirements: Social Distancing: Effective May 10, the university will require a 3-foot distance between individuals instead of the current 6 feet. We are announcing this now so we can plan ahead for classes and events this summer, but please continue to maintain 6-foot distancing until May 10. This change is consistent with revised Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considerations for operating schools during COVID-19. After the statewide mask mandate is lifted, and until further notice, UAH’s campus mask/face covering requirement will continue inside university buildings and also outdoors when social distancing is not possible.
