Candidates Sought for Upcoming Election
Candidates Sought for Four TRS Board Positions: Candidates are being sought for four positions on the TRS Board of Control: Teacher Position No. 3, held by Charlene McCoy, Support Personnel Position No. 2, held by Russell Twilley, Principal Position, held by Jeff Cole, and Higher Education Position No. 2, held by Kelli Shomaker. Elected members will begin their three-year term of service on July 1, 2021. The election will take place this October.
Nomination packets are available on the RSA website or by contacting the Election Coordinator at 334.517.7192 or 877.517.0020. The completed packet must be returned to the TRS office by 4:00 p.m., September 8, 2020.
PEEHIP/TRS Board Meeting for 5/14/2020
Board Meeting, Draft of Transcripts: The draft transcripts of the May 14, 2020, TRS/PEEHIP meetings are available here. These transcripts are subject to review and revision by the TRS/PEEHIP Board and have not yet been approved by the Board. These draft transcripts shall serve as the Summary of the Meeting as required by the Governor’s March 18, 2020 Proclamation relating to the Open Meetings Act.

Please note, all RSA seminars through October 1, 2020, are in the process of being reprogrammed to an online format. In addition, all off-site counseling appointments have been canceled through October 1, 2020.
