I am pleased to inform you that Dr. Robert Griffin has been appointed to the position of Associate Dean of the College of Science, effective July 8, 2019.
As Associate Professor in the Department of Atmospheric & Earth Science, Dr. Griffin has a record of outstanding research, teaching and student advisement and has been recognized with the UAH Research and Creative Activity Mentor Award (2015) and the COS Outstanding Faculty Award (2019).
Dr. Griffin, who brings energy, skill, knowledge and compassion-for-science to the position, will generate benefits to the College of Science and the University as a whole.
He has an especially important role as he will serve as a bridge between the current Interim Dean and the incoming new dean for whom a search will begin shortly.
