August 16, 2018 Academic Affairs honors one faculty member each year by appointing that faculty member to be the "Commencement Mace Bearer" for the year. The Mace Bearer is a faculty honor and is symbolic of the faculty member's commitment of service to students, to scholarship, and to society. Dr. Carolyn Sanders has served admirably in this role for the past year. It is now time to solicit nominations for the Mace Bearer for 2018-19. The Mace Bearer title will be awarded to a faculty member who has exhibited longstanding commitment and service to the University community and in recognition of his or her significant contributions to the mission of the University. Would you please nominate faculty members you feel embody and truly exhibit the true mission and spirit of UAH and the commitment described above.
