We want to make you aware of a few changes regarding Google web interface and mobile access of UAH email accounts being made by Google:

  1. Google will be updating the web interface look in July 2018.  This change does not impact users that solely use an email client such as Outlook. Click here for more information regarding what will change.
  2. Starting on June 18, 2018, anyone accessing UAH email (or other G Suite information) on his or her mobile device must have a passcode or screen lock set on the mobile device.  According to Google Support, it may take up to 24 hours after the change is made to take effect on your mobile device.

After this change:

  • When devices are lost or stolen, UAH data can be wiped from the mobile device

  • UAH data will be better protected on individual’s mobile devices

If you already have a passcode or screen lock set on your device, this change will not impact you. If you do not have a lock or code set, you must set one before you can access G Suite information from your mobile device.
