I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sean Lane as Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at The University of Alabama in Huntsville effective July 5, 2018. Dr. Lane currently serves as Interim Dean of the Graduate School at Louisiana State University.
Prior to his current appointment as Interim Dean of the Graduate School at Louisiana State University, Dr. Lane held positions of Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Associate Chair of Psychology, Program Head of Cognitive and Brain Sciences Doctoral Program, and Director of Research in the Department of Psychology.
Dr. Lane earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno in 1989, a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology from Kent State University in 1993, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Psychology from Kent State University in 1995.
Dr. Lane has numerous distinctions and achievements and brings a wealth of experience in leadership and administration, research, scholarship, and teaching. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Lane as the new Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UAH.
