The Mace Bearer is a faculty honor and is symbolic of the faculty member's commitment of service to students, to scholarship, and to society. The Mace Bearer title will be awarded to a faculty member who has exhibited longstanding commitment and service to the University community and in recognition of his or her significant contributions to the mission of the university.
We are pleased to announce this year since we will have two Commencement Ceremonies on the same day, the Colleges of Engineering and Science at 10:00 a.m. and the Colleges of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Business, Education, Nursing, and Professional Studies at 2:30 p.m., we have two Mace Bearers.
Dr. Don Gregory, Professor, College of Science, Department of Physics, has been selected as the Mace Bearer for the Colleges of Engineering and Science Commencement Ceremonies. Dr. Fan Tseng, Professor, College of Business, Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems, has been selected as the Mace Bearer for the Colleges of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Business, Education, Nursing, and Professional Studies Commencement Ceremonies. Dr. Gregory and Dr. Tseng certainly exhibit the criteria for the Mace Bearer for the University. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Gregory and Dr. Tseng.
